Greek Lamb Burgers

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. ground lamb
  • 1 lb. ground beef, pork or veal
  • 2 tsp. finely crushed garlic
  • ¼ tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • tsp. fresh ground pepper
  • 2 tbsp. fresh chopped herbs (such as parsley, dill, chives, thyme & oregano)
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 10 pieces naan (sandwich size)
  • fresh lettuce leaves
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce

Method
 

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine ground meat, crushed garlic, red pepper flakes, fresh herbs, salt and pepper.
  2. Form mixture into patties.
  3. Grill burgers on a preheated grill or grill pan until you have reached your desired doneness.
  4. Warm naan on grill or grill pan until golden brown but still soft.
  5. To serve, place a burger on a piece of naan. Top with lettuce, tomato, red onion, tzatziki and top with another piece of naan.
