Traveling to another country with kids is already stressful enough. Staying at a hotel that makes you feel like you are at a home away from home will make your vacation so much easier.
This family hotel is located in the heart of Lisbon in the Chiado district. Being within walking distance of so many famous sites and restaurants already puts it a step ahead of other hotels.
I cannot recommend this place enough. This is the perfect hotel for families. From the staff, the location, the room – everything made about this hotel made our trip that much more enjoyable.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by hotel staff at the curb. Not only did they help us with all of our baggage, the front desk staff began the check-in process before we were even inside the hotel.
The lobby has a small sitting area with cold drinks, which is a great place to relax while waiting for your transportation to arrive for outings.
The staff delivered all of our luggage to our room promptly and were eager to assist us with anything else we might have questions about.
The whole process was quick and seamless and we were in our room very quickly after arriving. The bellman that assisted with our luggage also showed us around our room including how to use everything (including the washer and dryer) and made certain that we were all set.
This hotel has anything from studio apartments with bunk beds for two people all the way up to two-bedroom apartments for six people. There are only thirty-seven rooms within this hotel which gives it an amazing personalized, boutique hotel feeling.
We stayed in a One Bedroom Superior Deluxe Apartment which had bedroom with a queen bed, an attached room with a bunk bed and a separate living room and kitchen area.
The kitchen comes fully equipped should you want to cook meals during your stay. A washer and dryer are also tucked away in the kitchen which is a life saver when you have kids!
Although we did not cook any meals in our room, we made a quick walk to a store around the corner when we first arrived for snacks and drinks to keep in the room.
In keeping with the family theme, each room comes equipped with a high chair too. Either prior to your stay or during your visit you can also request door protectors, thermometers, a training potty, bottle sterilizers & warmers, safety gates, baby cots and even baby baths!
I wasn’t kidding when I said this hotel is perfect for families!
The bathroom space was tight but had everything that we needed including a full size bathtub.

The hotel has one restaurant, M Bar Family Café, which is located just to the right of the lobby on the main level. The restaurant is cozy with a mixture of free standing tables and comfortable bench seating. There is even a little car inside the restaurant for kids to play in while dining!
As soon as we arrived at the hotel we ordered room service which included a pepperoni pizza, pasta and a charcuterie plate. Everything arrived quickly and was hot and fresh. It was the perfect convenience to give us some energy after a long travel day.
The package that we booked included breakfast each morning in the hotel restaurant. There was a wide selection of both American and European style breakfast options including cut-your-own jamon and honey comb that were fantastic.
One afternoon we stopped in for a cocktail and an appetizer prior to heading out for an excursion. They also have a selection of desserts and ice cream that the kids loved!
The service was always excellent.
Our kids loved playing in the Kids Club to start and end each day; there is even a climbing wall! Although we never used their child care service, there were plenty of other families using the service and all of the kids we saw were having a great time in each of the play rooms available.
They even offer late night service for those parents looking to have a quiet dinner out!
No matter what fun activities we were out doing each day, our kids were still excited to get back to the hotel to play in the kids areas.
We absolutely loved this hotel and we hope to visit again the next time we are in Portugal!
