I love a good sandwich but I also love a good dip. This Italian Hoagie Dip recipe is the best of both worlds!

This dip gives you all of the delicious flavors of antipasto in just one bite. Served on hoagie roll crisps, it tastes just like an Italian sub!

For another great dip recipe, try out my Spicy Queso Dip!

What are your favorite toppings on an Italian sub? There are many ways to modify this dip! Feel free to add pepperoni, bocconcini, banana peppers, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, olives or even giardiniera.

To avoid having to buy full jars of multiple ingredients, I normally hit up the antipasto bar at the local grocery store and get a little of each.

What You Will Need

Ham, sliced into thin strips

Salami, sliced into thin strips

Provolone, sliced into thin strips

Iceberg lettuce, thinly sliced

Roma tomato, diced

Red onion, thinly sliced

Italian dressing

Mayonnaise (optional)

Hoagie rolls

You can also make a creamy version of this dip. To do so, simply whisk the Italian dressing with one tablespoon of mayonnaise prior to combining with all of the other ingredients.

Because the lettuce will get soggy, mix with the dressing just prior to serving.

I hope you enjoy!

How to Make Italian Hoagie Dip

Preheat your oven to 350°.

Slice hoagie rolls into rounds and arrange on baking sheet. Bake for about 5 minutes, flipping half way through. After the bread has turned light brown, remove from oven and allow to cool.

In large mixing bowl, combine the ham, salami, provolone, onion, lettuce and tomato. Add the Italian dressing (and mayonnaise if making the creamy version).

Next, toss all of the ingredients until combined.

To serve, arrange bread crisps on platter alongside a dish of the dip.

Enjoy!
