Visiting Magnolia Market at the Silos

Chances are, if you have ever watched Fixer Upper over the years or have become fans of Chip and Joanna Gaines through one of their many business ventures then you have seen something about the Magnolia Silos in Waco, Texas.

Over the years, Chip and Jojo have created the perfect little sanctuary in the middle of Texas. It’s great to see old towns like Waco being revitalized and luckily, Chip & Jojo know exactly how to breathe life back into this historic American town.

Since my last visit, the Silos space has increased dramatically and now includes Magnolia Press coffee shop, a Wiffle ball field (complete with classic concessions!), the Old Church and six new shops.

The Silos

When you first arrive at the Silos, you will enter through the main entrance which is located between Silos Baking Co. and Magnolia Market.

A line to get into the Market quickly forms prior to their opening, but it moves quickly. I normally save my shopping until right before I plan on leaving so I don’t need to carry around all of the bags.

Everything is centered around a large turf area for relaxing, eating and playing. This is the area that becomes the viewing area for their concerts and special events.

It is a great place to stop and relax after walking through the heat. There are plenty of covered areas with picnic tables, swings, and even bean bag chairs out on the turf.

Don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottle and stop and fill up at one of their water stations! This one is located outside of the Seed & Supply garden area.

On both of my visits to the Silos, I began my day by visiting the Silo’s Baking Co. for a pastry. They also have a selection of cold beverages such as lavender lemonade, cold brew and bottled water & juices.

Magnolia Press

Since my last visit, they have also added Magnolia Press. If a hot coffee and breakfast sandwich is more your thing, stop at this coffee shop to get ready for your big day at the Silos.

Silos Baking Co.

This cute, little bakery is a must during your visit to the Silos. The line is normally long but it moves quickly. While waiting, staff members will hand you an order card and a pencil. Just mark off everything that you would like and they will pack it for you once you reach the counter.

Between both of my visits to Waco, I tried almost everything on the menu and it was all delicious!

The boxes that they use to package their baked goods are sturdy enough for travel. I even brought back a bunch of cupcakes for family & friends – all the way to New York!

If you are wondering what a great gift would be to buy yourself on your visit – purchase yourself one (or both!) of Joanna Gaines cookbooks. Both of them contain recipes that are made at the Silos Baking Co. and at Magnolia Table. When you are back home and wanting some delicious treats, you will be able to recreate some of their best dishes and baked goods right at home!

After grabbing a light breakfast, I spend my time walking around the area and checking out all of the cute nooks and crannies of the space! Once lunch time approaches, all of the food trucks will begin opening up.

Food Trucks at the Magnolia Silos

You will not leave the Silos feeling hungry! The Silos are home to at least ten food trucks with a wide range of options. Looking for a wood fired pizza? Try out 900 Pizzeria. Want a gourmet grilled cheese? Try out Cheddar Box. And my favorite of all? Club Sandwich where you create your own Asian style rice bowl.

Other options include Guess Family BBQ, Chuck’s Gourmet Popcorn, Summer Snow, H.O.T. Dog House, Luna Juice, Alabama Sweet Tea and Captain Billy Whizzbangs.

Speaking of delicious food, DO NOT leave the Waco area without visiting Magnolia Table. They are open for breakfast & lunch (closed on Sundays). Check out my post Visiting Magnolia Table in Waco, Texas!

The food & service are amazing!

Magnolia Seed + Supply

Located in the back corner of the property, Magnolia Seed + Supply is a cute, little shop selling gardening tools, growing kits for kids, flower pots and much more. The garden area that is located right outside the shop is my dream backyard with raised gardens of flowers, fruits and vegetables.

If you have kids, don’t miss the little teepee in the corner of the garden with cute, wooden mushroom stools.

Magnolia Market at the Silos

Be prepared to spend a fortune when you visit this Market! All of the displays are designed so perfectly, you are going to want one of everything! The store is huge and carries home goods, clothing, jewelry, books and so much more. You will have a hard time deciding what to bring home with you!
