My Little Pony Tea Party

I can’t believe my baby girl is turning 3 already! She had one request this year for her birthday – unicorns. She has been loving the new My Little Pony movie and loves all things unicorn. Check out how I put together her unicorn birthday party this year!

A tea party is a cute way to make it a little extra fancy while still including foods that most kids love. She loved it and the party turned out perfectly!

The Decorations

Luckily, the weather was beautiful and we were able to have our tea party outside.

For the centerpieces, I picked up a few different varieties of pastel colored flowers from my local Trader Joe’s. We arranged them to slightly resemble a rainbow.

All of the fresh, spring flowers really brought the table to life and were the perfect centerpiece for the main table!

These adorable mini rainbow piñatas are great as a party favor and also make for cute table decorations too! I also love this larger sized rainbow piñata that is great for a fun party activity.

For the place settings I used these reusable silicone white cloud placemats that were so easy to clean and we can use again for another party! The pastel rainbow napkins and plates, My Little Pony paper cups and iridescent paper straws completed the look that I was going for.

The birthday girl had her very own unicorn headband at her place setting (which she loved!).

The Food

For this tea party, we kept the savory food completely tradition! The hot finger foods included chicken pasties, Scottish eggs, sausage rolls and chicken pie. Everything was from a local tea shop that sells the best products that instantly have me feeling like I am at afternoon tea in London.

If you live in the San Diego area, check out Shakespeare’s Corner Shoppe. They also ship nationwide!

We made the finger sandwiches ourselves and they included chicken salad with dried cranberries, smoked salmon with herbed mayonnaise and arugula, and cucumber with herbed cream cheese.

Everything was served on these acrylic tiered stands.

The adults enjoyed pink prosecco out of these acrylic champagne flutes and the kids had sparkling grape juice!

Since it was hot outside, we decided to have iced tea rather than hot tea and it was perfectly refreshing.

Of course, it isn’t a tea party without scones! We served both white chocolate & raspberry scones and also butterscotch scones alongside our favorite strawberry jam and clotted cream.

For desserts we had as assortment of things including macaroons, cupcakes, fruit pastries with custard, rainbow cake and more! It was all so delicious.

The Activities

Lucky for us, the swing set outside was built-in entertainment! Since our daughter loves arts & crafts, we also painted these ceramic unicorns.

I found these adorable unicorn paint brushes that I am sure we will use for many upcoming projects!

The placemats were silicone and made for easy clean-up. I just gave them a quick rinse in the sink to get all of the paint off and they were like new again!

They also have fun unicorn piggy banks to paint too!

The Favors

I found most of the items for the favor bags at the Dollar Tree near me. This included My Little Pony grab bags and alphabet flash cards, unicorn sticker sheets and Crayola Uni-Crayons.

The favor bags were iridescent to match some of the other table settings.

The unicorn gummies on Amazon and the mini unicorn toys were from Walmart.

I loved how this cute, little birthday party turned out and our baby girl loved it too.

I hope this gave you some inspiration for throwing your very own unicorn birthday party! Comment below and let me know your favorite part of this birthday party!
