Every holiday season I like to make these to use as stocking stuffers and to add to boxes of Christmas cookies that I hand out.

Not only can they be used to make a cup of hot chocolate, they can also be used in a cup of coffee for an added kick!

I prefer milk chocolate but you could use white or dark melting chocolate too!

In the baking section of your grocery store, you will find many different toppings to choose from. Some of my favorites include mini marshmallows, toffee chips, caramel chips, sprinkles and crushed peppermint candies.

I found the bags that I used at my local crafting store. They can be found in the baking section and are slim bags that are typically used for lollipops or cake pops.

How to Make

Lay a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet. This will be where your spoons dry once they are dipped in chocolate.

Melt your chocolate according to the instructions on the package. Some will only require you to place them in a bowl and microwave while other melting chocolates may require you to use a double boiler.

Dip each spoon into the chocolate to coat. Depending on how much chocolate you want on the spoon, you may need to allow the spoon to dry and then dip into the chocolate a second time before putting your toppings on.

Place the spoon on the parchment and immediately sprinkle with the chosen topping.

Once the spoons are completely dried and the chocolate has hardened, place each spoon into a bag and tie with a ribbon.

Enjoy!
