The Decorations

When making the centerpiece, I used various purple, white and green flowers from my local Trader Joes. In the middle of the arrangement, I used a glass ball to resemble the Dragon Gem.

For the place settings, I used paper palm leaves as the placemat and plates that were gold/navy blue.

The Cake

The cake was made by a local baker. If you are in the San Diego area, check out Sweet Revenge Bakery!

The Food

Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon was set in Kumandra which was inspired by Southeast Asia. In keeping with the theme for this birthday party, I made some Indonesian food that our kids love including satay chicken skewers with peanut sauce, fried rice and fried noodles.

I made a Sisu punch using the blue Hawaiian Punch with Sprite and rainbow sherbet. The Baskin Robbins sherbet has the perfect colors to resemble Sisu – blue, pink and green! I topped it all off with cute palm tree drink picks.

The Favors

For the favor bags, I used small burlap sacks. Each one contained a Raya Color Wonder book, sidewalk chalk, a toy, and fruit leathers – just like Raya’s dried jackfruit from the movie!

I also found these hats at Party City. They are similar to Raya’s salakot hat from the movie.

The Activities

An easy idea for a crafting activity for a Raya party are these dragons. For this you will need toilet paper rolls, construction paper, tissue paper, glue, fuzzy puff balls and crafting eyes.

First we wrapped the toilet paper roll in craft paper and secured with glue. Then, glue on strips of tissue paper into the inside of one side. Glue the fuzzy puff balls on the top for nostrils and for eyes.
