It’s easy to spend hours wandering around this fun park. If it had been up to our son, we would have stayed for the entire day!

From all the dinosaurs throughout the park to the fossil-themed playground to the fossil and gem excavation, there are so many things to see. Our toddler was well entertained during our visit!

The park is very clean. All of the staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

I love that this fun park is just outside of Orlando! It’s a great alternative activity for kids besides the typical theme parks.

Ticketing & Entrance

Upon arrival at the park, we purchased our tickets and made our way in. On this trip, we were in Florida at a popular time of year. The park was not crowded at all.

Just as you enter the park, there are a few, large dinosaur themed playgrounds. Next comes wandering the grounds to see hundreds of different dinosaurs. Nearly all of the walkways are shaded with tall trees. This was especially helpful in that Florida sunshine!

Don’t forget, give yourself at least an hour to wander the grounds checking out all of the fun dinosaurs hiding in the bushes!

Activities

Tickets for children aged 3-12 include the fossil dig activity. Participants get to sift through some sand for about 15 minutes to find various fossils. At the end, each participant gets to choose their three favorite fossils to bring home with them.

Be prepared for sand-filled shoes! Participants use tools at the Boneyard to dig out a life size (27 foot!) dinosaur skeleton replica!

We ended our visit by taking a quick walk through the Prehistoric Museum to see some real life prehistoric fossils, animatronic dinosaurs and even view some fossils found right in Florida!

A Dino Gem Excavation is also available as an add-on. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and weren’t about to take advantage of this experience. We hope to next time though!

Dinosaur World Helpful Tips

Don’t forget to bring some cold beverages! When we visited, it was very hot and humid and cold water was much needed. The gift shop also had drinks for purchase.

We don’t travel anywhere without these handheld fans. Not only do they help cool the kids down in the heat, they also are a great distraction when our kids are going through a wave of boredom.

There is no food service at the park. Picnic lunches are welcome.

There is a huge gift shop at the park with many cool items to choose from. Everything in the shop is reasonably priced. Besides the typical souvenirs that you would expect to be found here, there is also a large selection of fun and interesting items including real fossils and geodes.
