My caramel apple sangria recipe is the perfect mix of sweet and tart and is a great cocktail to make in big batches for gatherings.

I like to make a batch of this and have it in a drink dispenser. Serve alongside some glasses with caramel on the rim, a bucket of ice and garnishes such as sliced apples, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves and even stems of rosemary!

For another fall cocktail recipe, check out my post A Fall Favorite – Apple Cider Margaritas!

What You Will Need

1 bottle white wine

6 ounces caramel vodka

2 cups apple cider

diced/sliced apples

caramel syrup

garnish (apple slices, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, rosemary stems)

For the caramel syrup, I like the Ghirardelli brand because it is thicker and sticks to the rim better. You can typically find these syrups in the ice cream section of the grocery store.

For the white wine, these is no need to get anything too fancy. Choose a well priced dry white wine that you wouldn’t mind drinking on its own! You can also use a sweeter wine but I prefer dry in this recipe.

Pinnacle, Smirnoff and Stoli all sell a caramel flavored vodka but if you can’t find these, a vanilla vodka would work as well! If using vanilla vodka instead of caramel vodka, stir in a couple teaspoons of the caramel syrup into the cocktail to give it the caramel flavor that you are looking for!

How To Make Caramel Apple Sangria

In large pitcher, combine diced/sliced apples, wine, caramel vodka and apple cider. Stir to combine.

Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.

Pour some of your caramel syrup onto a small plate. Dip the rim of each of your glasses into the syrup.

Fill each glass with ice.

Pour the caramel apple sangria into each glass.

Garnish with a slice of apple and a cinnamon stick.

Enjoy!
