Apple Cider Sangria

One of my favorite drinks in the fall is this apple cider sangria. It’s the perfect accompaniment to a fall menu and is light enough to enjoy throughout the night.

It’s also a great drink to make ahead of time for parties and get togethers. Having everything mixed and set out ahead of your party will keep you from having to mix cocktails all night!

If making for a large group, multiply the recipe to fill your drink dispenser. Make ahead of time and store in the refrigerator until serving. You can create your very own Apple Cider Sangria Bar by putting out glasses, a bucket of ice and various mix-ins such as diced apples, cinnamon sticks, frozen cranberries, whole star anise and even rosemary twigs!

Each recipe will make about 5 servings.

This drink will keep in the refrigerator for a few days, just make sure to cover tightly.

What You Will Need

1 bottle of white wine (dry works best)

1/4 cup of apple brandy

1 1/2 cups of apple cider

2 apples, diced

Garnish – apples, cinnamon sticks, frozen cranberries, rosemary twigs, whole star anise, cinnamon & sugar rim

How To Make

In a large pitcher, combine your diced apples, wine, apple brandy and apple cider.

Stir to combine.

Cover and allow to sit for at least one hour before serving.

Serve over ice.

Garnish with slices of apples, cinnamon sticks, whole star anise, rosemary twigs or even a cinnamon & sugar rim!

Enjoy!
