A Neutral Dinosaur Bedroom

Prior to our house being overrun with Pokémon and Transformers, our lives revolved around dinosaurs. When our son transitioned from a crib to a big boy bed, we let him choose a few dinosaur items to decorate his room.

As you will see, we like to keep our kids rooms clear of clutter. We keep everything organized in their playroom and closets. This leaves a minimal look and helps keep things from being lost in the mix.

We’ve since moved and changed room themes. Here are a few pictures from his neutral dinosaur bedroom that I took prior to the move.

The Bed

This bunk bed was perfect for us when our toddler was just learning to sleep in a regular bed. The bottom bunk sits right on the ground, making it much safer in case of rolling out of bed in the middle of the night.

We bought two of these mattresses for the bunk bed because they have such great reviews! They came rolled up in a small box and unraveled once unboxed.

I love this dinosaur duvet cover and matching pillow case! The company makes a bunch of adorable options including an astronaut, unicorn, shark and more. We used these white, organic cotton sheet sets, white comforters, mattress protectors and hypoallergenic pillows.

The Decorations

His toys came in handy doubling as decorations. This Jurassic World stegosaurus and brachiosaurus both looked so cute in his room and he still plays with these toys today!

The white teepee tent is perfect for playing. We have a faux white fur rug inside to make it a little softer. We’ve also used this teepee as a decoration for a few birthday parties. They also make teepee cushions to make it even more comfy for playing!

I purchased the dinosaur sketch prints on Amazon and framed them using white frames and matting!

The t-rex head and triceratops head wall mounts were my favorite part of this room. The triceratops wall mount came in a cool black & grey finish but we decided to paint it white to match the t-rex.

Although I only had a few pictures from right before we moved, I hope you like some of the ideas from this neutral dinosaur bedroom!
